Capcom announced that starting Oct. 14, 2025, Monster Hunter: World, Wilds, and Rise will no longer guarantee full support for Windows 10. While the games may still run, future updates could make them incompatible.

Monster Hunter Wilds, in particular, has faced criticism for its PC port optimization, holding a “Mixed” rating on Steam from over 170,000 reviews. Capcom has offered a tutorial for updating graphics drivers, though players continue to call for better optimization.

Monster Hunter dropping full Windows 10 support signals it’s time for players to prep for upgrades.

Future updates could break compatibility, so moving to Windows 11 may soon be a must.

Windows 10 support by Microsoft expired so makes sense.
