ING, UniCredit, CaixaBank, Danske Bank, and six others have formed a Dutch consortium to issue a regulated euro stablecoin. Launch is planned for late 2026, under the EUβs MiCA rules, with oversight from the Dutch Central Bank. The token will enable instant payments, programmable settlement, and 24/7 cross-border transfers. -
