AI startup Mechanize is offering engineers salaries of up to $500,000 to develop reinforcement learning environments.

The six-month-old company aims to supply robust training environments for AI coding agents and has already worked with Anthropic, according to sources.

Unlike larger data firms building broad sets of simulations, Mechanize says it will focus on creating a smaller number of high-quality RL environments.
