Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) surged 4.4% on Friday after Bloomberg reported that the tech giant is in talks with Meta Platforms (NASDAQ: META) for a cloud computing contract worth ~$20 billion.

The multiyear agreement would see Oracle provide Meta with the infrastructure needed to train and deploy advanced AI models. While terms are still being finalized, such a deal would mark one of the largest cloud contracts in recent years.

For Oracle, this adds momentum to its record cloud bookings reported last week, underscoring its rising competitiveness against AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
