-

Meta is officially expanding its subscription strategy by rolling out new paid plans globally for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The new βPlusβ subscriptions start at around $2.99 to $3.99 per month and unlock premium features like profile customization, advanced story insights, super reactions, custom themes, and additional personalization tools.Instagram Plus focuses heavily on creator-style features, including story viewer analytics, extended story duration, and tools to boost visibility. Facebook Plus offers similar social enhancements, while WhatsApp Plus introduces custom themes, premium stickers, and upgraded messaging controls. Meta says more features will continue rolling out over time as the company pushes deeper into subscription-based revenue.
The move marks one of Metaβs biggest efforts yet to diversify beyond advertising. With billions of users already on its platforms, subscriptions allow the company to monetize power users directly while also building a larger ecosystem around creators, businesses, and AI services.
