The Witcher 3 Is Getting One Last Adventure Before The Witcher 4
-

More than a decade after its original release, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is receiving a brand-new expansion called "Songs of the Past." The expansion will once again place players in the role of Geralt and is expected to feature the return of fan-favorite bard Dandelion. For many longtime fans, the DLC represents an unexpected opportunity to revisit one of gaming's most beloved protagonists before the franchise moves in a new direction.CD Projekt Red has described the expansion as a prologue to The Witcher 4, though not in a direct or traditional sense. Rather than serving as a straightforward setup for the next game, it may help bridge the transition from Geralt's era to the next chapter of the series, where Ciri is expected to take center stage. With The Witcher 4 still years away, "Songs of the Past" could become an important piece of the franchise's evolving story.
