GTA 6 Still Has an Enormous Amount Left to Reveal Before Its November Launch
-

Despite being fewer than six months from its November 19 release date, Grand Theft Auto 6 remains one of the least-revealed major games in recent memory relative to how close it is to launch. Rockstar has released two trailers, a collection of screenshots, and character descriptions, but no gameplay footage, no pricing information, no pre-order details, and no information whatsoever about GTA Online, the multiplayer component that generated billions of dollars in revenue for GTA 5 and is almost certain to be a central part of the GTA 6 package. The information vacuum has been remarkable by the standards of any major release, let alone what is widely expected to be the biggest game launch in history.
Trailer 3 is considered inevitable at this point given how little of the single-player experience has actually been shown, and speculation is growing that it may shift from the cinematic focus of the first two trailers toward actual gameplay footage, which would be the reveal the community has been waiting for most urgently. GTA Online's absence from all marketing so far suggests Rockstar may be holding a separate reveal for the multiplayer mode entirely, a strategy that would extend the marketing runway and give the studio multiple distinct announcement moments as the November date approaches. Take-Two has signaled that marketing will intensify this summer, meaning the long stretch of near-silence is almost certainly entering its final weeks regardless of what the May 21 earnings call delivers.
