Cosmico Raises 12 Million Euros and Completes Flatmates Acquisition Two Years Ahead of Schedule

Milan-based Cosmico has closed a €12 million Series B funding round led by P101 SGR, with continued participation from Prana Ventures, and simultaneously completed the full acquisition of Flatmates, an Italian creator-economy agency it had taken a majority stake in during 2024. The completion of the Flatmates deal came two years earlier than originally planned, reflecting the pace at which Cosmico has been moving since its founding in 2020 by Francesco Marino, Simone Tornabene, and Matteo Roversi. The company reported €24 million in revenue for 2025, a 109% increase over the prior year, and has already contracted €20 million in the first four months of 2026, pointing toward a target of €40 million in organic revenue for the full year as a foundation for reaching €100 million by 2028.Cosmico operates four main business lines: a talent-as-a-service platform for digital professionals, Flatmates for the creator economy, a creative harbour focused on employee engagement, and Play New, which builds teams of AI-augmented workers.

The group gives corporate clients in Italy and Spain access to a network of over 35,000 digital professionals through a managed service model rather than a typical freelancer marketplace, meaning clients are matched to talent rather than browsing and hiring independently. A brand needing both content creators and AI project managers, for example, can work with Flatmates and Play New within the same group under a single relationship. P101 partner Stefano Guidotti described the decision to lead the Series B as a doubling down on a thesis that the market would reward companies able to support both workers and corporates in adapting to rapidly changing work dynamics.
