FromSoftware's The Duskbloods Is Confirmed for a 2026 Release on Nintendo Switch 2
-

One of the most anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 exclusives has received a welcome update. Kadokawa, which owns a majority share in FromSoftware, confirmed in its latest financial report that The Duskbloods is still on track for release before the end of 2026, alongside Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition. The confirmation aligns with a recent leak from credible insider Nate the Hate, who previously claimed the game would arrive in late 2026, possibly October or later. Nate the Hate's reputation received a notable boost earlier this month after being one of the first to confirm the existence of a new Star Fox game ahead of its official announcement, lending additional weight to the Duskbloods timeline. The multiplayer action RPG features both PvP and PvE gameplay and lets players create custom vampire-inspired characters, a setup that has generated significant excitement from FromSoftware's passionate fanbase since the game was first revealed as a Switch 2 exclusive during the console's debut presentation in April 2025.
With a June Nintendo Direct presentation potentially on the horizon, a formal release date announcement for The Duskbloods could come sooner than many expect. Nintendo will likely want to give the game significant promotional attention given its status as a high-profile exclusive from one of gaming's most respected developers. A dedicated showcase segment or even a standalone Nintendo Direct, similar to what Star Fox recently received, are both realistic possibilities. The timing matters beyond just the game itself. Nintendo Switch 2 is set for a price increase in September, and having a compelling exclusive like The Duskbloods confirmed and dated would give the company a strong argument for why the upgrade from the original Switch is worth it before that price hike takes effect.
