Xbox Game Pass May 2026 wave one brings Forza Horizon 6, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and Subnautica 2 as headliners
-

Microsoft has revealed the first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for May 2026, headlined by three major titles that collectively cover racing, action, and survival genres. Forza Horizon 6 arrives on May 19 as a day-one Game Pass launch, taking the open-world racing festival to Japan with over 550 vehicles across a massive new map. DOOM: The Dark Ages lands on May 14 on the Premium tier, offering a medieval prequel that explores the origins of the Slayer before the events of the modern DOOM games. Subnautica 2 also arrives May 14 as a game preview, moving the beloved underwater survival series to a new alien planet and adding four-player cooperative support for the first time in the franchise. All three are available through Game Pass Ultimate, making May one of the stronger value months for subscribers who have been holding off on purchasing any of these titles at full price.
The broader wave one lineup adds significant depth beyond the three headliners. Wildgate, a tactical shooter, and Ben 10: Power Trip arrive May 6 for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. The nostalgic coming-of-age game Mixtape joins on May 7, followed by the van life exploration title Outbound on May 11 and the Lovecraftian puzzle sequel Call of the Elder Gods on May 12. Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the critically discussed soulslike set in Ming Dynasty China whose IP was recently acquired by Digital Bros, joins the Premium tier on May 6. Five titles including Planet of Lana and Galacticare leave the service on May 15, with a 20% purchase discount available for subscribers who want to keep them permanently. The wave arrives as Xbox operates under new leadership from Asha Sharma and a revised subscription structure with Ultimate now priced at $22.99 per month.
