Assassin's Creed Invictus, Ubisoft's mysterious multiplayer PvP spinoff, may be in serious trouble following a reportedly disastrous playtest on April 30. Longtime Ubisoft leaker j0nathan shared what appears to be an official email invite for the PC-only test on X, describing the playtest as "really bad" based on a second-hand account. The leaker, who has previously been reliable on Ubisoft matters, stated that the project now has a good chance of being delayed or canceled due to its current state, while acknowledging the assessment could be personal speculation rather than confirmed insider information. The game had already slipped from a reported 2025 target to a tentative 2026 window, and j0nathan suggested the 2026 target itself may now be in jeopardy after roughly four years of development.
The leaked email invite described Invictus as an all-new multiplayer PvP experience set in the Assassin's Creed universe, lending credibility to earlier reports that the game would be competitive in nature.

Previous leakers have compared its format to Fall Guys, the chaotic battle royale party game where dozens of players compete through platforming challenges until one winner remains.
