Diablo 4 Hotfix Removes Annoying Portal That Was Causing Players to Lose Loot
-

Blizzard has pushed a small but important hotfix for Diablo 4, addressing one of the more frustrating issues introduced in the new Lord of Hatred expansion. The update removes the automatic exit portal that would spawn after completing Pit and Tower runs—an addition originally meant as a quality-of-life feature. Instead, it ended up backfiring.
Players were accidentally clicking the portal before collecting loot or completing Glyph upgrades, instantly exiting the activity and locking themselves out of rewards.
Blizzard admitted the design “missed the mark” and removed the feature entirely in Hotfix 4 (version 3.0.1).
The update also fixes:
An exploit allowing infinite farming of Nemesis boss lairs by swapping difficulties in groups
A softlock issue in The Soil, The Seed, The Fruit questline
Various stability improvementsDespite the rough edges, Lord of Hatred has been well received, with Blizzard continuing to rapidly patch issues just days after launch.
