At Regular Animals, Mike Winkelmann blends robotics, AI, and blockchain into one surreal installation. Originally shown at Art Basel Miami Beach 2025, the project now runs in Berlin through May 2026.
Each robot dog captures images of visitors and reinterprets them using AI styles inspired by figures like Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol. Visitors can also claim NFTs tied to the experience, reinforcing Beeple’s ongoing connection to digital ownership and crypto culture.
The installation raises uncomfortable questions: Who owns the data? Who creates the art? And who controls the narrative in an AI-driven world?
By giving machines the faces of powerful figures and turning visitors into raw input, Beeple makes one thing clear—today’s culture isn’t just created, it’s processed.
