Crimson Desert Patch 1.04.02 Is Live — Here's Everything That Changed on April 24
-

Pearl Abyss has released yet another update for Crimson Desert, with patch 1.04.02 landing across all platforms on April 24, 2026. While smaller in scope than previous updates, it delivers a focused round of hotfixes and quality-of-life improvements that the community has been waiting for. The most notable fix addresses horse gear no longer being dyable, a frustrating issue for players who invest heavily in customization. The patch also resolves a bug where starting a new game would apply a different difficulty than the one selected — a particularly timely fix given that difficulty settings were only added to the game just one day earlier on April 23, perfectly illustrating the rapid pace at which Pearl Abyss is iterating. On the camp management side, furniture placed in the house will no longer be automatically retrieved when expanding the Greymane Camp, and when relocating the camp to Pailune, furniture will now carry over alongside the move.A Contribution Shop with Carl has also been added to the Greymane Camp. Additional fixes cover UI issues across fishing docks, tanner shops, the Content Guide, and HDR settings on keyboard and mouse, along with localization corrections across all languages and a slight increase to character movement speed that was originally applied in the previous patch.
