X Introduces AI-Powered Custom Timelines

X is rolling out a major feature update with Grok-powered Custom Timelines, allowing users to follow curated feeds across more than 75 topics. Built using AI from xAI, these timelines go beyond hashtags and keywords — instead, Grok analyzes entire posts, understands context, and assigns them to relevant categories.

Users can pin up to 10 topics directly to their home tab, making it easier to switch between interests like tech, sports, or politics without relying solely on the main algorithmic feed. However, the feature is currently limited to Premium subscribers on iOS, with Android support expected later.

This marks a shift toward more personalized and modular social media experiences, where users actively shape what they see instead of passively consuming one feed.
