-

The U.S. Department of Justice has opened a remission process to compensate victims of the infamous OneCoin fraud, making over $40 million in recovered assets available. Individuals who purchased the token between 2014 and 2019 can now file claims to recover part of their losses. This marks a meaningful step in addressing one of the largest crypto scams in history, which defrauded investors of more than $4 billion globally. While the recovered funds represent only a fraction of total losses, authorities emphasize that returning any amount to victims is a priority.
The deadline to submit claims is June 30, 2026, and the process is being handled by specialized recovery teams. For many victims, this may be the first real opportunity to regain some of their lost funds after years of uncertainty.
