Mistral Launches Forge to Help Enterprises Build Custom AI Models

French AI startup Mistral has unveiled a new platform called Forge, aimed at helping enterprises build AI models trained on their own internal data.

Announced at Nvidia GTC, Forge allows companies to move beyond generic internet-trained models by creating systems tailored to their workflows, documents, and industry needs.

Unlike traditional approaches such as fine-tuning or retrieval-based systems, Mistral says Forge enables full model training from scratch—offering greater control, improved performance on specialized data, and reduced reliance on third-party AI providers.
