Global Investigation Exposes $5.7M Cybercrime Service

An international investigation has dismantled the cybercrime proxy platform SocksEscort proxy network, which authorities say generated at least €5 million ($5.7 million) from users.
Customers reportedly paid anonymously with cryptocurrency to access the service, which provided digital cover for illegal activities online.
The operation involved agencies from several countries and was supported by organizations including Europol and Eurojust.
Europol Executive Director Catherine De Bolle said the case shows how international cooperation can uncover and dismantle the infrastructure behind global cybercrime networks.
