Sweden Investigates Leak Linked to E-Government Platform
-

Swedish authorities are investigating a potential data leak tied to the country’s e-government infrastructure after a threat actor claimed to release sensitive files online. The hacker, known as ByteToBreach, said the material originated from CGI Sverige, a subsidiary of global IT firm CGI Group that provides services connected to Sweden’s digital government systems.
According to the company, the cybersecurity incident involved two internal test servers that were not used in production. While an older application version and its source code were reportedly accessible, the firm stated there is currently no evidence that customer production data or operational services were compromised. Authorities, including national cyber defense teams, are now investigating the scope of the breach.
