The new family safety feature from Truecaller goes beyond simple scam alerts. On Android devices, group members can grant permission for the admin to view helpful status indicators such as whether someone is walking, driving, their battery level, or if their phone is on silent mode.

Admins can also block suspicious numbers, restrict international calling codes, and share blocklists with the entire group. However, Truecaller emphasized that admins cannot access private information like call history or SMS messages, ensuring privacy while still improving protection against fraud attempts.
