Dust Transfers Explode Across Ethereum Stablecoins
-

Ethereum Dust Transfer Activity. Source: X/EtherscanEtherscan data shows that address-poisoning attacks aren’t limited to ETH. USDC transfers surged from 2.6 million to 14.9 million, and DAI rose from 142,000 to over 811,000 in just 90 days after the Fusaka upgrade. Even ETH dust transfers increased by roughly 62%, from 104.5 million to 169.7 million.
Although the scam’s success rate is only about 0.01%, a single successful theft can yield substantial rewards. Multiple attacker groups now compete to insert poisoned addresses into users’ transaction histories first, making these attacks more industrialized and harder to avoid.
