The lawsuit, filed in a California federal court, asks the court to reverse the Department of Defense decision that labeled Anthropic a “supply chain risk” and ordered federal agencies to stop using its technology.

The company argues that the move was retaliation for maintaining safety restrictions on Claude, including bans on lethal autonomous warfare and mass surveillance of Americans.
