Nasdaq MRX Files to Launch Binary-Style Options on Nasdaq-100
-

Nasdaq is moving deeper into the prediction-style trading space, as its options exchange Nasdaq MRX filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to list cash-settled “Outcome Related Options” on the Nasdaq-100 Index. The proposed contracts would allow traders to place yes-or-no style bets priced between $0.01 and $1, tied specifically to movements in the Nasdaq-100 and Nasdaq-100 Micro indexes.
Unlike broader prediction markets that focus on politics or sports, Nasdaq’s offering would remain strictly financial. The Nasdaq-100 includes major tech giants such as Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, and Tesla, giving traders binary exposure to some of the largest publicly traded companies in the world.
