Escape From Tarkov Quietly Slashes Matchmaking Times
-

Escape from Tarkov players are noticing a major improvement this week after developer Battlestate Games confirmed it has rolled out backend matchmaking upgrades. Studio head Nikita Buyanov revealed the team has been reducing queue times by pre-launching game rooms, optimizing server load processes, and tweaking matchmaking parameters — with even more improvements planned.
The impact appears immediate. Where players previously reported waiting 10 minutes or more for a raid — especially in lower-population regions — many now say they’re finding matches in two minutes or less. Buyanov also clarified that lobby population requirements haven’t been reduced, meaning faster queues aren’t coming at the cost of emptier raids.
