Bluepoint’s Bloodborne Remake Pitch Reportedly Rejected by FromSoftware

A new report from Bloomberg claims that Bluepoint Games pitched a remake of Bloodborne — but FromSoftware ultimately said no.

According to the report, Sony was reportedly supportive of the idea. However, FromSoftware declined to move forward with the project. Bloodborne remains one of the highest-rated PlayStation 4 titles ever released and is widely regarded as one of the generation’s best games. While it’s playable on PS5 via backward compatibility, it has never received a native PS5 upgrade, remaster, or PC port — something fans have been requesting for years.

The news comes amid reports that Bluepoint was shut down after multiple pitches failed to materialize, including the rejected Bloodborne remake. For fans hoping the gothic action RPG would follow other PlayStation titles onto modern platforms, the update is a major disappointment.
