Bumble Rolls Out AI Profile Feedback and “Suggest a Date” Feature

Bumble is introducing a new suite of AI-driven tools aimed at helping users turn matches into real-world relationships.

The headline addition is AI-powered profile guidance, offering personalized feedback on bios and prompts globally. In the U.S., users also get access to an AI photo feedback tool, which suggests improvements like removing sunglasses-covered selfies or adding more diverse shots — think outdoor pics or photos with friends. While the advice may sound simple, Bumble says many users still benefit from structured, in-app guidance.

In Canada, Bumble is also testing “Suggest a Date,” a feature that allows users to signal they’re ready to meet offline when a conversation stalls — reducing the awkward back-and-forth of figuring out who should ask first. CTO Vivek Sagi says the goal is to “reduce friction” at key moments and increase the odds of meaningful offline connections.

Bumble isn’t alone in leaning into AI. Apps like Tinder and Hinge have also rolled out AI-powered features, from smarter conversation starters to match recommendations based on deeper data signals. Still, as dating platforms double down on automation, some younger users are increasingly opting for offline experiences over app-mediated romance.
