MetaMask Launches Mastercard Crypto Card Across the US — Including New York

Self-custodial wallet MetaMask has officially rolled out its Mastercard-enabled spending card across the United States, marking its first-ever availability in New York. Parent company Consensys confirmed the nationwide launch across 49 states, with Vermont currently the only exception. The move follows pilot programs conducted throughout 2024 and 2025.

Powered by Mastercard and issued by FDIC-insured Cross River Bank in partnership with regulated issuer Monavate, the MetaMask Card can be used at 150 million merchants worldwide and supports Apple Pay and Google Pay. The expansion positions MetaMask as a stronger bridge between decentralized finance and everyday payments.
