Kalshi also handed down penalties to a YouTube editor who allegedly traded using material non-public information on YouTube stream-related markets. The trader placed approximately $4,000 in bets between August and September 2025, generating near-perfect returns that triggered the platform’s surveillance systems. As a result, Kalshi imposed a two-year suspension and a fine of roughly $20,000.

While Kalshi did not publicly identify the individual, mainstream reports indicate the editor is Artem Kaptur, an employee of popular YouTuber MrBeast. The platform said its investigation, supported by other traders, helped identify the editor’s place of work and determine likely access to insider information.
