Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Reportedly Confirmed as 2027’s “Project Age 1000”
-

The next major Dragon Ball game arriving in 2027 will reportedly be titled Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, according to a recent update spotted on Bandai Namco Entertainment’s Southeast Asia YouTube channel.
Earlier this year during the Genkidamatsuri event, Dragon Ball unveiled Project Age 1000, a mysterious title said to have been in development for six to seven years. The teaser trailer introduced a new white-haired protagonist dressed in Capsule Corp attire, capable of transforming into a Super Saiyan. Bandai Namco confirmed that the character was created by Akira Toriyama, immediately raising anticipation among fans.
While Project Age 1000 was officially scheduled for release in 2027, its final title remained unconfirmed — until now. Twitter user Wario64 noticed that Bandai Namco Entertainment Southeast Asia had created a YouTube playlist titled “DRAGON BALL Xenoverse 3,” which included the Project Age 1000 teaser trailer. Although the playlist was later deleted, fans were quick to capture the update, fueling speculation that the project is indeed the next installment in the Xenoverse series.
The Xenoverse saga remains one of the franchise’s most popular game lines, with Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 still receiving DLC as recently as October 2025. However, with the sequel approaching its 10th anniversary, many players have long hoped for a full-fledged follow-up rather than continued expansions.
Bandai Namco previously confirmed that more details about Project Age 1000 will be revealed on April 19–20 during Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026. If the leaked playlist is accurate, that event could serve as the official unveiling of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3.
Adding to the intrigue, some fans believe the game may revisit elements of Dragon Ball Online, particularly its Age 1000 timeline that explores the long-term legacy of Goku and Vegeta. Others speculate that the new Super Saiyan protagonist — who shares visual similarities with Broly and Cheelai — could be connected to their lineage, especially since their relationship was highlighted in Xenoverse 2.
If confirmed, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 would mark a major new chapter for the franchise’s gaming universe, potentially blending Toriyama’s late creative input with the time-traveling mechanics that made the series a fan favorite.
