AI Wallets Could Be Crypto’s Missing Piece, Says Dragonfly Partner
-

Beyond benchmarking, some industry voices believe AI could fundamentally reshape how users interact with crypto. Dragonfly managing partner Haseeb Qureshi argued that crypto never fully replaced traditional financial systems because it wasn’t built with human intuition in mind. Large onchain transactions can still feel risky, especially with drainer wallets and phishing threats lurking.
Qureshi suggests that AI-intermediated, “self-driving” wallets could change that dynamic by managing risks and executing complex operations automatically on behalf of users. Drawing parallels to how smartphones unlocked GPS and browsers unlocked the internet, he argues that AI agents may be the complementary technology crypto has been waiting for — potentially transforming security, usability, and trust across blockchain ecosystems.

AI managing drainer risk + phishing detection in real time would lower the psychological barrier to using DeFi.
