February Patch Fixes Major Crafting Bug in Stardew Valley: Switch 2 Edition
-

Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone (ConcernedApe) has released a February 2026 update for Stardew Valley: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, addressing several frustrating launch issues. The most critical fix resolves a crafting bug that was removing the wrong ingredients from players’ inventories — a problem that persisted since the enhanced edition launched in December 2025.
The patch also improves mouse controls on the Nintendo Switch 2, including a new option to disable mouse mode entirely. Co-op players will now properly see network maintenance messages at startup, smoothing out multiplayer sessions. While the update is already live in the United States, players in Europe and Japan will need to wait a few more weeks as the team continues polishing the regional releases to avoid further launch hiccups.
