Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone (ConcernedApe) has released a February 2026 update for Stardew Valley: Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, addressing several frustrating launch issues. The most critical fix resolves a crafting bug that was removing the wrong ingredients from players’ inventories — a problem that persisted since the enhanced edition launched in December 2025.

The patch also improves mouse controls on the Nintendo Switch 2, including a new option to disable mouse mode entirely. Co-op players will now properly see network maintenance messages at startup, smoothing out multiplayer sessions.
