A group of leading European tokenization firms is warning EU policymakers that the bloc is falling behind in the race to onchain capital markets.

In a joint letter ahead of a parliamentary debate, companies including Securitize, 21X, and Boerse Stuttgart Group say the EU’s DLT Pilot Regime is holding back growth with strict asset limits, issuance caps, and time-limited licenses.

Their message is clear: global liquidity will not wait. As the US advances toward near-instant settlement and large-scale tokenization, Europe risks losing relevance unless it acts fast.
