Circle and Polymarket are partnering to transition Polymarket’s prediction market from bridged USDC on Polygon to native USDC issued directly by Circle.

The move aims to provide a capital-efficient, scalable, and fully redeemable dollar-backed stablecoin as collateral, improving market reliability and integrity. Polymarket founder Shayne Coplan said it will create a consistent, dollar-denominated settlement standard as the platform grows.

This update underscores the growing trend of regulated stablecoins powering decentralized finance and prediction markets.
