Lotus Health AI reimagines primary care with AI doctor model

Lotus Health AI is building what it calls an AI doctor capable of seeing 10 times as many patients as a traditional practice. Patients interact with AI trained to ask the same questions a physician would, while human doctors sign off on diagnoses, lab orders, and prescriptions. For urgent or physically examinable cases, Lotus refers patients to in-person care.
Founder KJ Dhaliwal emphasizes that the startup’s goal is product development over revenue, offering its services entirely free for now. With the Series A funding led by CRV and Kleiner Perkins, Lotus is betting that combining pandemic-era telemedicine frameworks with recent AI advances can fundamentally reshape primary care delivery in the U.S..
