Kalshi’s grocery promotion took place Tuesday at Westside Market on 3rd Avenue, running from noon to 3 p.m. local time. According to the company, 1,795 people signed up to receive free groceries, while mainstream media outlets reported that thousands attended.
Social media footage showed crowds wrapping around nearby streets as attendees collected bags of food. Kalshi said the initiative was meant to give back to the local community while highlighting the platform’s growing presence.
The company generated $263.5 million in fee revenue in 2025 and, along with Polymarket, now carries a multibillion-dollar valuation driven by rapid growth and major platform integrations.
