Call of Duty Season 2 Brings Major RICOCHET Anti-Cheat Upgrades
-

Activision is rolling out new RICOCHET Anti-Cheat upgrades with the next season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone, aiming to crack down harder on cheaters across console and PC.
The update introduces improved detection targeting devices like Cronus Zen and XIM Matrix, which are often used to run recoil-reduction scripts and aim macros. While sometimes marketed for accessibility, these devices violate Call of Duty’s competitive rules. Once detected, they’ll now be actively disabled, rendering them unusable in-game.
On PC, Activision is also adding Microsoft Azure Attestation, working alongside existing TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot requirements to remotely verify system integrity. The changes go live with Season 2 on February 5.
