Escape from Tarkov Creator Teases New Sci-Fi Shooter COR3

One of the original creators behind Escape from Tarkov has revealed his next project — and it’s a sharp pivot into sci-fi. Nikita Buyanov, founder and COO of Battlestate Games, has officially teased COR3, an atmospheric new shooter set in a bleak futuristic world.

A short teaser trailer shows a lone soldier moving through the wreckage of a destroyed city before pulling back to reveal a massive, advanced civilization on Mars. The planet’s orbit is scattered with ruined spacecraft and floating astronaut bodies, hinting at a catastrophic event that wiped out much of humanity’s presence in space.

Buyanov, who served as game director on Escape from Tarkov and even composed much of its soundtrack, has long been one of the most visible figures behind the extraction shooter. Despite Tarkov only receiving its full release in late 2025, COR3 signals that Battlestate Games is already looking ahead.
