Beyond Good & Evil 2 survives Ubisoft’s game cuts

Amid Ubisoft’s recent wave of cancellations—including the Prince of Persia remake—Beyond Good & Evil 2 remains safe. Creative director Fawzi Mesmar reassured fans that the development team is largely unaffected and focused on delivering a “remarkable game.”
The franchise is now part of Ubisoft’s fourth creative house, dedicated to immersive fantasy worlds and narrative-driven universes. Recent hiring at Ubisoft Montpelier hints at new features, possibly including multiplayer elements, while keeping the single-player experience central.
Mesmar also expressed sympathy for teams impacted by the canceled projects, emphasizing support for fellow industry workers. Despite this, Ubisoft’s stock took a 39% hit, hitting a 15-year low.
