Airtable Launches First Standalone Product, Superagent
-

Airtable CEO Howie Liu is launching Superagent, the company’s first standalone product in 13 years, as the company repositions itself as an AI-native platform. Superagent is an AI agent designed for multi-agent coordination, where specialized AI assistants work in parallel to answer complex questions and deliver interactive outputs.
Liu describes it as “orchestrating a team” rather than simply prompting an AI. Users can request market analyses, investment evaluations, or business insights, and the system synthesizes data from sources like FactSet, Crunchbase, SEC filings, and earnings transcripts.
The launch comes as Airtable trades at roughly $4 billion on secondary markets, down from its $11.7 billion 2021 valuation, but retains significant capital and cash flow. Liu calls the move a “wartime” leadership strategy—betting on the future rather than protecting the present.
