Gmail users report inbox chaos amid spam filtering issues
-

Gmail users are reporting widespread issues with spam filtering and email categorization, with many saying their inboxes are not behaving normally.
According to Google Workspace’s official status dashboard, the issue began around 5 a.m. Pacific on Saturday. Users are experiencing misclassified emails in their inboxes along with an increase in spam warnings, including alerts appearing on messages from known and trusted senders.
Several users said emails typically sorted into Promotions, Social, or Updates tabs are instead landing in their Primary inbox, while obvious spam is bypassing filters altogether. Google said it is actively working to resolve the problem.
