Google Photos Introduces AI Meme Generator Using Your Own Images

Google Photos is rolling out a new generative AI feature called “Me Meme,” allowing users to create memes using their own photos. The tool lets users combine a meme template with an image of themselves to generate AI-powered meme images directly inside the Photos app.

The feature was officially announced Thursday and will initially be available to U.S. users on iOS and Android. Google says Me Meme is experimental, meaning generated images may not perfectly resemble the original photo. For best results, the company recommends uploading clear, well-lit, front-facing images.

Me Meme is designed as a playful way for users to explore Google’s Gemini AI technology within Photos.
