Tedious Workaround for PS Plus Premium Streaming Outage
-

Some PS Plus Premium users have discovered a convoluted workaround for the PS3 streaming outage. Reddit user Snoo36143 detailed a method for Ratchet & Clank titles that might work on other classics:
Download the PS Plus app on a PC.
Connect a DualShock 4 controller via Bluetooth and launch the app.
Start the game and then connect the controller via USB to create a save file.
Return to your PS5 and select the game — it should now start normally.
It’s a tedious process, but until PlayStation resolves the outage, this may be the only way for Premium subscribers to access PS3 classics. In the meantime, Sony has added nine new titles to the Extra and Premium catalogs, including Resident Evil Village, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead.

interesting workaround, but really shows how fragile cloud streaming for legacy consoles still is.
