Binance Applies for MiCA License in Greece

Binance has taken another step toward regulatory compliance in Europe, submitting an application for authorization under the EU’s Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) in Greece. The exchange confirmed it is working directly with the Hellenic Capital Market Commission (HCMC) as the new regulatory framework rolls out across the bloc.

“We welcome the opportunity to work closely with the HCMC as this new regulation takes shape in the EU,” a Binance spokesperson said, calling MiCA a milestone that brings clearer rules and stronger user protections.

The move comes as crypto firms face mounting pressure to secure licenses before national transition periods expire, making Greece a key battleground for Binance’s European strategy.
