Why Younger Investors Trust Crypto More Than Banks
-

Trust in crypto isn’t just higher among younger Americans — it’s growing. Compared with early 2025, more than a third of Gen Z and Millennials say their confidence in crypto platforms has increased, while sentiment among Boomers has largely stayed flat. Looking ahead, 40% of Gen Z and 36% of Millennials plan to increase crypto trading in 2026, nearly four times the rate of Boomers.
According to OKX, the divide comes down to how trust is defined. Older generations associate trust with institutions, regulation, and centralized oversight. Younger users prioritize transparency, verification, and personal control. For Boomers, regulation builds confidence; for Gen Z, the technology itself is the proof.
