Tokenized Markets Are Moving From Theory to Reality
-

Tokenization is no longer just a conceptual argument — it’s already happening across finance. Franklin Templeton has issued tokenized shares of a US money market fund on public blockchains, while JPMorgan operates a live Tokenized Collateral Network that moves blockchain-based representations of assets between institutional clients. This week, the New York Stock Exchange also unveiled plans for a 24/7 venue for tokenized stocks and ETFs with blockchain settlement.
The report’s release coincides with the World Economic Forum in Davos, where Brian Armstrong said he plans to discuss market structure reform and tokenization with policymakers. The message is clear: tokenization isn’t just about efficiency — it’s about who gets to participate in the next version of global finance.
