Ledger Clarifies Customer Data Exposure Linked to E-Commerce Partner
-

Hardware wallet maker Ledger has confirmed that a recent customer data incident originated from its e-commerce partner Global-e, not from Ledger’s own systems. The unauthorized access affected order data belonging to customers who made purchases through Ledger.com using Global-e as the merchant of record.
Ledger emphasized that the breach was limited to Global-e’s infrastructure and did not involve Ledger’s hardware, software, or internal platform. According to the company, independent forensic experts were brought in to investigate, and affected users are being notified with guidance on how to protect themselves.
