BitMine Emerges as a Major Force in Ethereum Staking

One of the biggest drivers behind the surge in validator entries is BitMine, which has been aggressively staking ETH in recent weeks. Since late December, the firm has added hundreds of thousands of Ether to the staking queue, bringing its total staked holdings to more than 659,000 ETH valued at over $2 billion.

Chaired by Tom Lee, BitMine now holds roughly 4.1 million ETH—about 3.4% of Ethereum’s total supply—making it the world’s largest Ether treasury. Its decision to stake at scale highlights growing institutional confidence in Ethereum’s yield mechanics and long-term network stability.
