Pakistan has emerged as the third-largest freelancing country globally, according to Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. Speaking at a ceremony in Islamabad, Aurangzeb highlighted the country’s youth as a powerful economic driver, stressing that skill-based training is essential to unlocking Pakistan’s demographic dividend.
With a population of over 240 million, Pakistan holds vast potential in the global digital economy. However, the minister noted that progress depends on greater discipline, focus on outcomes, and sustainable economic planning to reduce poverty and ensure long-term growth.
Aurangzeb emphasized that Pakistan’s growing freelance sector reflects its rising importance in global digital services, particularly in IT and remote work.
