Aflac Data Breach: Millions of Customers Affected
-

U.S. insurance giant Aflac has confirmed that approximately 22.65 million people are being notified after a major data breach. Hackers reportedly stole sensitive personal information, including Social Security numbers, driver’s licenses, dates of birth, and health records.
Authorities believe the cybercriminals may be linked to Scattered Spider, a known group targeting the insurance industry. This breach follows similar attacks on other insurers like Erie Insurance and Philadelphia Insurance Companies.
Customers are urged to monitor accounts and watch for suspicious activity as the investigation continues.
