According to the FCC, drones could be exploited by criminals, hostile foreign actors, or terrorists, prompting the agency to expand its “Covered List” to include all foreign-produced drones and critical components. FCC Chairman Brendan Carr said the move aligns with President Trump’s push to strengthen domestic drone manufacturing and reduce reliance on foreign technology.
